Choking Down on Golf Club
Labels:
Golf Tips
When I usually hit my hybrid and drive clubs I have a tendency to choke down on the the grip. I noticed several golfers such as Anthony Kim use this technique so I decided to adopt it to my regular routine when hitting with my woods and hybrid clubs. I've done research and found out that choking down on the club effectively shortens both the club and your swing arc without altering your swing. A smaller swing is easier to control. But the downside of choking down is that you will lose a half-club's worth of distance, but what you'll gain in control will be well worth the trade-off.
