New Blog Writer Addition Craig Hagen

I would like to welcome our newest San Diego Golfer blog writer Craig Hagen. He will be providing additional insight to the world of golf. He will focus his blog posts about golf courses, tournaments and associations that beginners may not be aware of that are great endeavors.

Craig Hagen started playing golf at the age of 13. He "borrowed" his dads clubs, some old leather gripped Bobby Jones Spaldings, and mostly played on courses where he could sneak on for free until he was probably 18 or 19.

He played some high school and community college golf, and stayed active in tournament golf as an amateur. Hagen is currently working to transition to a golf course management career over the next few years. He has qualified to start the PGA apprenticeship program.

Craig has played golf in some very interesting places such as St Andrews, North Berwick, Pinehurst, etc. He has a more holistic approach to the mental side of the game. For instance, whenever he has a friend starting out he would buy them Michael Murphy's GOLF IN THE KINGDOM as he think the writing gives a future golfer the right mental approach to golf.

I really look forward to Craig's contribution to the SD Golfer blog!
